I took my photos in my basement at night with the lights off and set up my camera on a tripod in front of my mom. As soon as I clicked the button to take a picture, I ran behind my mom and clicked the flashlight on and off, while drawing antenna and butterfly wings around her to make her look like a butterfly silhouette. I really enjoyed doing this assignment. I found it very challenging to make sure I drew the butterfly in time, made the wings look good, and not accidentally pointed the flashlight at the ground or the wall in order to ensure the background was as dark as possible. Overall, I've liked these photo assignments over the past 7 weeks, and I am looking forward to applying the skills I've learned to other projects in the future.
