As this being my last blog post of the year, I wanted to showcase my worst photos, random photos, best photos, and some photoshop projects that I'm proud of from the trimester in Mr. O'Donnell's Digital Photography class. These galleries show my growth as a photographer and incorporate the techniques and skills I've learned throughout the trimester.
Worst Photos
This gallery shows my worst photos of the trimester. At the beginning, I didn't know much at all about how to use the manual setting on my camera. I was just starting to experiment with depth of field, and I had no experience with photoshop. Most of these photos are out of focus, have distracting things in them, are over-exposed, blurry, or uninteresting.
Random Photos
This gallery shows random photos with my friends and I during the trimester. These photos aren't necessarily amazing when it comes to the exposure triangle, and some are a little blurry. I wanted to include this gallery to show how my photography in the middle of the trimester especially.
Best Photos
This gallery showcases the photos I'm most proud of from this trimester. I really love these, because they show depth of field, draw someone's eye to various details within the photo making them interesting, show light rays from different angles including bouncing off of a backdrop, lens flare, light painting, and highlighting the subject.
Best Photoshop
These assignments are my favorite photoshop projects from the trimester. During the trimester, I became more comfortable with photoshop and used tools such as the clone tool, making canvases, sizing images, creating layer masks, moving around layers, using the history brush, cutting/copying/pasting images, creating gradients, merging photos together, and changing levels.
Overall, I really enjoyed this class. I learned so much more about how to set up a photo, edit it, and size it that I didn't know how to do before. I'm glad I took this class, because I definitely think it made me a better photographer.
